D & D Employees Contribute to Those in Need

Friday, January 8, 2016

Robert Schaeffer and Ellen LynchFrom Thanksgiving to Christmas, the D & D Employees contributed to those in need and D & D Elevator matched their donations totaling $1250. The decision to donate to the Westchester Food Bank will benefit many.

On Tuesday, January 5, 2016, Robert Schaeffer (President & CEO) met with Ellen Lynch (President and CEO) to present a check to the Westchester Food Bank. Ellen shared with us that for every $1 that is received, they can provide $4 worth of food to a hungry individual. That means our contribution will turn into a $4800 donation that will feed many. From a soup kitchen in Yonkers, to children at day care centers in Peekskill, to teenage mothers in Mount Vernon, or seniors having lunch at a residential facility in New Rochelle, the goal of The Food Bank for Westchester is to provide food assistance to those who need it.
