Michael’s career began in the family business, Archer Elevator. By 1980 he was working full-time as a helper for Archer Elevator. His experience ranges from helper to mechanic, manager to Safety and Regional President for ThyssenKrupp NY.
In, 2005, Michael brought his knowledge, experience and elevator expertise to D&D Elevator. Michael believes that great customer service is the root of a good company. His ability to foster positive relationships with customers, consultants, engineers, architects and employees has grown the business in unit count and revenue, while driving efficiencies in the field.
A champion of safety, Michael understands the hazards of working in the field and recognizes the need to continually educate technicians and train new-comers in the industry to put safety first.
Michael served on the Board of Directors for the National elevator Contractors Association, holds a Master Electrician license, Elevator Inspector and QEI Elevator Inspector licenses as well as his mechanics license in Massachusetts and California.
Executive Vice President
Deborah was hired by D&D in 2006 as Office Manager and has since risen to the position of Vice President of Operations. In her new position Deb is tasked with managing multiple departments, the staff, and projects within the company. Her extensive knowledge of the industry is key to achieving the company’s strategic goals.
On a day-to-day basis Deb works closely with HR implementing company policies, guiding and directing staff, and tackling issues that may arise. Her strong interpersonal skills give her the ability to forge relationships with field personnel, consultants, general contractors, building owners, managers, and vendors – keeping projects on schedule and within budget.
Since 1995 Bobby has served as a principal owner and President of D&D Elevator. In 1981 Bobby worked as an elevator apprentice for Flynn Hill Elevator Co., in 1982 Bobby moved on to become a Maintenance and Repair Mechanic at D&D. For the next 7 years, he maintained and repaired elevator equipment, performed troubleshooting, provided support and training to other field technicians, and trained helpers in proper safety and work procedures.
In 1989, Bobby became the Vice President of Operations for D&D. During this time he worked to systemize material ordering, scheduling, dispatching, workmanship, and completion of jobs within all field departments. He introduced many new functions to the company – including fiscal policy and strategic planning — and, to ensure safe work habits, implemented many new policies and procedures.
As CEO Bobby has closely interfaced with all phases of the company, providing strong, effective leadership and direction. In this position he has developed and implemented the company’s strategic plan, established policy to assure compliance with government agencies, laws and regulations.
Bobby is QEI certified and has many accreditations, awards and industry recognition to his name. He has served on the Board of Directors of NAEC, of which he was elected president. He has been awarded the prestigious President’s Club and William C. Sturgeon Distinguished Service Awards. As Education Chairman, he was essential to the development of the Certified Education Training Program.
